The Barbell

This gift was not for me, but from me. My boyfriend's dad died when he was only three. He was a bodybuilder and a bouncer, and he wore a barbell necklace. When his mother told me about it, I had an idea for Christmas. I had all those big presents waiting for me, but I pulled out a very tiny wrapped box and asked Chris to open his first... I was terrified that he wouldn't like it or it wouldn't look right, or he wouldn't understand. However, when he opened the box, he just looked down at it for a few moments, and when he looked up he was smiling and crying! Now he tells me I will never beat that Christmas, and believe me I've tried. So something personal like that is always great.
